About ScheduleMyServices

ScheduleMyServices is an independent informational website that helps consumers understand, plan and prepare for everyday home, automotive and technology services.

What we do

Arranging a repair or service visit usually means making decisions quickly: who to call, whether a quote is fair, what to have ready, and what to do if something goes wrong. We publish free, plain-language guides that help with those decisions before you contact a provider.

The site covers three areas, each with its own collection of guides:

  • Home Services: appliances, plumbing, wiring, heating and cooling, roofs, pests, paint and the rest of the house.
  • Automotive: servicing, oil changes, tires, batteries, air conditioning, inspections and choosing a shop.
  • Technology: computers, laptops, phones, tablets, printers, data recovery, Wi-Fi and IT support.

Every guide follows the same structure: the signs that it’s time to book, how to arrange the appointment, how to pick a provider, what to prepare, questions worth asking, what usually happens during the visit, common mistakes and a short FAQ.

What we are not

ScheduleMyServices is not a booking service, repair company, provider directory or marketplace. Specifically, we:

  • do not book, confirm or manage appointments;
  • do not provide repairs or any other services, and do not employ or dispatch technicians;
  • do not represent, endorse or recommend specific businesses;
  • cannot guarantee that any provider is available, licensed, insured or suitable for your job;
  • are not affiliated with any government agency.

When you decide to go ahead with a service, you deal directly with the provider you choose, on their terms.

How the guides are made

Guides are researched and written by the ScheduleMyServices Editorial Team. Where a guide refers to a rule, a safety point or a consumer right, it links to official sources such as federal consumer protection and safety agencies. Drafts may be prepared with the help of AI writing tools; every guide is reviewed and edited before publication. Our Editorial Policy explains the process in full.

How the site is funded

The site does not currently display advertising, use affiliate links or accept payment from service providers. We may promote the site through online advertising so that more people can find the guides. If we ever add advertising or commercial relationships to the site itself, we will label them clearly and update this page and our Editorial Policy.
